Why one dog only
Most boarders take a houseful. We take yours, and only yours.
A dog on holiday shouldn’t have to share, compete, or fit into a pack. With us there is no pack. Your dog gets the whole home, the whole garden and our whole attention.
They live in the house, not a kennel
Sofa, fireside, their own cosy bed, the kitchen at breakfast — your dog has the run of a real family home, exactly as they do at yours. No concrete runs, no rows of pens, no barking next door.
No other dogs. No competition. No stress.
One dog at a time means no squabbles over toys, no nervous newcomers, no risk of a bad-tempered stranger. Just calm, undivided, one-to-one care for a dog who knows they’re the favourite.
Walked in real countryside, several times a day
We’re on the edge of the Ridgeway and White Horse Hill. Your dog gets at least three walks a day across proper Oxfordshire fields, woods and bridleways — not ten minutes round the block.
Beautifully simple
How booking your dog in works
Check & book online
Pop in your dates and postcode, see the exact price, and book in a couple of minutes. Pay securely online — your dog’s place is held the moment you do.
Free meet-and-greet
Before any stay we meet you and your dog, learn their routine, food, quirks and favourite things, and let them sniff out their holiday home. No pressure, no charge.
Drop off (or we collect)
Bring your dog over, or add door-to-door collection within 30 miles. Hand over their bed and food, and relax — they’re in safe, loving, one-to-one hands.
Daily updates, happy homecoming
Photos and videos every day while you’re away, then a happy, well-walked, well-loved dog handed straight back to you. That’s the whole point.
A day with us
What a day looks like for your dog
Routine is everything to a dog. Here’s the gentle, happy rhythm your dog settles into from day one.
Good morning, breakfast & a garden potter
Up with the family, breakfast exactly the way they have it at home, and a relaxed mooch around our secure garden to start the day calmly.
The big adventure walk
A proper long walk — White Horse Hill, the Ridgeway, Badbury woods or the Thames Path. Sniffing, exploring, off-lead where it’s safe and they’re happy. The first photo update lands on your phone.
Lunchtime stroll & a snooze
A gentler midday walk, then a contented nap in their favourite spot. Older or younger dogs get this paced exactly to suit them.
Play, training top-ups & cuddles
Garden games, gentle training to keep their manners sharp, grooming, and a lot of fuss. Whatever your dog loves, that’s what we do.
Dinner & an evening wander
Dinner on their schedule and a calm evening walk to wind down, with the day’s second photo-and-video update sent to you.
Tucked up where they’re happiest
Whether that’s their own bed, the sofa or the foot of ours — your dog sleeps in the house, never alone in an outbuilding. Goodnight.
Total peace of mind
Safe, secure, and properly looked after
We're a small family home, not a kennel business — your dog lives with us as our only guest. We're insured, DBS-checked and canine first-aid trained, with a named local vet on call, and we always meet you and your dog first.
However your dog needs to be looked after
We look after your dog, not a schedule
Because we only have one dog at a time, everything bends around them. A bouncy young Labrador and a fragile old Spaniel need completely different days — and they each get exactly the right one.
Puppies & young dogs
Little and often: short walks, lots of play, gentle house-training kept consistent with home, and never left for long. We keep the routine you’ve worked so hard to build.
Senior & gentle dogs
Calm, slow, soft. Short comfortable walks, warm beds, and a careful eye on appetite, water and rest. Exactly the unhurried pace an older dog wants.
Dogs on medication
Tablets and treatments given precisely on time, every time, and photographed with each dose on a Concierge Stay so you can see it’s done. We learn your dog’s plan at the meet-and-greet.
Anxious & rescue dogs
The first days are deliberately slow — no demands, a safe den, walks only when they’re ready. One dog, one calm home, no strange pack: often the kindest place a worried dog can be.
High-energy & working breeds
Proper exercise, not a plod round the block: long off-lead galloping (where it’s safe and they’ve got the recall for it), scent games and real mileage across the Ridgeway. GPS maps prove it on a VIP Stay.
Flat-faced & heat-sensitive dogs
Frenchies, Bulldogs and Pugs walked early and late, never in the heat, on a harness not a collar, with breathing watched closely. We know the dangerous moment is when they go quiet.
Who your dog stays with
A real family, a real home, a real name
You should never hand your dog to a logo. Before any stay you meet us, see our home and our secure garden, and your dog gets to sniff out where they’ll be staying — all completely free, with no pressure to book.
- One named, DBS-checked carer — the same person, every day, who your dog gets to know.
- A named local vet on call, with pre-authorised emergency cover so nothing waits on reaching you abroad.
- A backup carer for continuity — a single stay is never a single point of failure.
- Our welfare promise: if your dog ever seems genuinely unhappy, we tell you honestly, stop the stay and refund every unused night.
